Christy Anne Jones is an author, illustrator and content creator from Adelaide, Australia / Kaurna Land.

Her debut novel is Theodora’s Tea Shop, an atmospheric, 1920s-inspired adult fantasy about magic, friendship and, of course, tea. It features twists and turns, found families, monstrous women, many heartfelt and cosy moments, and a creepy daemon who owns a department store.

In 2022, she released her first book, A Year in Tōkyō: An Illustrated Guide and Memoir, which follows her time as an English teacher and travel writer living in Japan.

Her other writing work has been published in Japan Today, SavvyTokyo, GaijinPot and Voiceworks.

One rainy day when she was in high school, Christy filmed a time-lapse painting video titled ‘The Lonely Houses’ and posted it to YouTube on a whim. Her self-titled channel now has over 240,000 subscribers and 14 million total views. She posts book reviews, video essays and vlogs about being a writer and creative.
